Lean Forms enhances modern SharePoint lists without introducing a separate store for list items. Reads and writes run in the signed-in user’s context.
The designer requires SharePoint’s Manage Lists permission. Normal form use continues to follow each user’s applicable SharePoint permissions.
SharePoint-based data
List items and form configuration are stored in SharePoint. Repeating data is held in a configured list field.
Local PDF generation
The PDF is created in the browser. Form values and the result are not uploaded to an external conversion service.
User context stays intact

Lean Forms customises the New, Edit and View forms of modern generic SharePoint lists. Document libraries are not part of its intended scope.
Can one form capture multiple related rows?
Yes. Repeating sections let users add rows for items such as positions, people or inspection points. SharePoint’s technical limits still apply.
Does PDF export save my changes?
No. It captures the currently displayed values—including unsaved input—without updating the SharePoint item.
Who can design forms?
Opening the designer requires SharePoint’s Manage Lists permission on the target list. Publishing also checks the write permissions required for configuration storage.
Does Lean Forms translate my form content?
The product interface is available in English and German and follows the SharePoint display language. Custom labels, choices and authored content are not translated automatically.
